This Introduction to Parkinson’s disease (PD) presentation is a general overview of the Parkinson’s disease state, including the development of motor and non-motor (gastrointestinal, sleep and other) symptoms, and treatment options. About the Presenter:
Dr. Shannon Blume is a Senior Medical Science Liaison with AbbVie Neuroscience. She completed her bachelor’s degree (Neurobiology) at the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2006 and her PhD (Pharmacology) at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. After graduating, Dr. Blume moved to Philadelphia for her postdoctoral training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania.
