On Thursday, October 17th, 2019, POP Founder, Gary Rogliano, and fellow Board Members, Angela Rogliano and Margaret Preston were inducted into VCU's Founders' Society. The Society honors generous individuals who have made cumulative commitments of $100,000 or more to the university or associated foundations.
The POP team has worked closely with the VCU Parkinson's and Movement Disorder Center, including Carrie Bickford, VCU Health Gift Officer, in funding an endowed research chair that will study the impact that various types of exercise has on delaying the progression of Parkinson's Disease. Power Over Parkinson's strongly believes that staying active is critical to living well with PD and this research chair properly aligns with this principal and the POP mission.
The dinner took place at Richmond's Main Street Station and included music by a jazz trio comprised of VCU students. Medallions were presented by VCU President, Michael Rao.
